Reason(s) for wanting to be a mentor:
I enjoy meeting and speaking with students and new members of the profession. I have worked in all areas of archives (processing, reference, exhibits and digitization), so I have a wide range of skills to discuss and enjoy sharing about my experiences in the workplace and in professional organizations.
Is there any other information about your career or yourself that you would like to share with potential mentees:
I am very involved in professional outreach and advocacy efforts, with SGA, SAA and ACA. I have also presented at regional and national meetings, and am published. I also work at a HBCU (Historically Black College and University) and am involved with the HBCU Library Alliance.
