This workshop provides a basic overview of oral history and its integration into archives and manuscript collections. Participants will receive instruction on researching, framing, and conducting an oral history interview; dealing with narrators; transcriptions; recordkeeping; ethics; legal issues pertaining to oral history; project publicity; videotaping oral history; taping equipment; and tape storage.
