Join the SGA Outreach Committee for a tour of Defining Skylines: John Portman and the Architectural Evolution of Downtown Atlanta on Friday, May 30th at 1pm! The Georgia Tech Library’s special exhibition showcases the life and work of visionary architect John Portman, who transformed Atlanta’s skyline with landmarks like the Hyatt Regency and Peachtree Center. Featuring artifacts from the Georgia Tech Archives and Portman Archives, the exhibit offers a rare look into his creative process, architectural legacy, and impact on urban design.
The Georgia Tech Library is located at 260 4th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30332. The tour will be held in the Exhibits Gallery on the first floor of the Price Gilbert building, adjacent to the Cherry Street entrance. Please be aware of ongoing construction on campus that may affect walking routes. The closest visitor parking lots are:
