Join the SGA Outreach Committee and Membership Committee in celebration of International Archives Week!
International Archives Week was created to promote and share a global awareness on the importance of archives and archivists. This week-long event was created by the International Council on Archives, originally established as International Archives Day in 2007 --- celebrated annually on June 9th. That date was selected to commemorate the creation of the International Council of Archives in 1948. To read more about this event's history click here.
To celebrate this week, we invite you to a social gathering on Monday, June 8th at Twain's Brewpub & Billiards in Decatur, GA. The "social hour" will start at 6:30 pm and end at 8 pm. After the "social hour" join us in testing your knowlege during Twain's "Monday Night Team Trivia" event at 8pm.
In addition to the social gathering we would like to invite you to a pre-social event for a tour of the DeKalb History Center at 5:30 pm. Register for the tour here.
We recommend the use of MARTA, if possible. The Decatur MARTA Station is a quarter of a mile from Twain's and directly next to DHC.
